EXEC Suite Redesign
Challenge
The client, President of a nonprofit, sought an office redesign on a minimal budget and within an 8-week timeframe. Her vision was clear: no display of accolades or awards, but instead a space that reflected her personal values and passions. She desired an environment that balanced professionalism with inspiration, rooted in her love for Memphis, music, minimalism, and the legacy of historical Black female figures.
Approach
Working within the budget and timeframe, the design emphasized simplicity, storytelling, and local culture. A minimalistic layout allowed the space to feel open and uncluttered, while carefully selected artwork and imagery paid tribute to influential Black women in history (not pictured, but added later). Subtle nods to Memphis—through textures, color palettes, and musical references—were woven into the décor without overwhelming the room.
Outcome
The result was a tailored executive office that feels both powerful and personal, one that we are both proud of. The space communicates leadership and vision while staying true to the client’s love for minimalism and cultural heritage. Completed within 8 weeks and on shoestring budget, the office now serves as a welcoming and inspiring environment for both the client and her visitors.
